Biotech INNOVATION Lanකa was founded in 2016 by Dr. Udo Huneke and Lankani Hettigoda. Located in Sri Lanka, an ideal location for the interaction of business between Asia, Europe and Africa, the company offers full Biotech GMP support for process development, API production and technology transfers between the continents
Dr. Udo Huneke (Director)
Educated and graduated in Germany (PhD, University of Bielefeld), subsequently working at the University College London (UCL) as a beneficiary of the European Network of Biotechnology and on a post-doctoral position at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Blacksburg, USA), Dr. Udo is a key developer of the first European biosimilar. After working on snake antivenoms and several monoclonal antibodies for cancer treatment, he is now offering his 20 years of experiences in biotechnology in a GMP environment in a “from-scratch-to-market” package. He is focused on practical GMP regarding “get things done” and is currently consulting several biotech/pharma projects in the South Asian region.
Lankani Hettigoda (Director)
Educated in London, Lankani is holding a BSc (Hons) Chemistry and a MSc in Natural Products Chemistry from University College London (UCL), UK. She is member of the WCIC (Women’s Chamber of Industry and Commerce) and a mirror committee member of SLSI (Sri Lanka Standards Institute) represented Sri Lanka on Social Responsibility Standards (ISO 26000) drafted in Netherlands.
